Dr. Rajesh (Raj) Girdhari, is a physician-executive bridging clinical medicine, healthcare innovation, and governance. As a family physician specializing in addiction medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital, he brings frontline perspective to healthcare transformation. His dual MD/MBA training informs his work as Clinical Lead for Ontario Health’s system modernization efforts and founder of the University of Toronto’s Digital Health Committee. A recognized leader in digital health, Dr. Girdhari’s research on physician-patient electronic communication demonstrates his commitment to technology-enabled care. His unique combination of clinical expertise, administrative leadership, and digital innovation makes him ideally suited to guide UVL’s governance as Board Secretary.
